Who am I? John Robinson
I grew up climbing, running and scrambling around the mountains of Eryri. Even whilst working in the Environmental Sector around the UK and in various African countries, I'd still snatch weekends here in North Wales.

I'm happiest outside climbing. In 2019 I left Sheffield for the mountains where I feel at home, often referred to as 'Hiraeth' the deep longing. I wanted to spend more time climbing and doing genuinely rewarding work. Mostly by helping others to acheive their aspirations. Since then, I've become a full-time Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor (the highest summer award) working in and on the side of the mountains I love the most.

Some of my most rewarding work has been developing climbing and mountain independence in disadvantaged groups and mental health activities. I also really enjoy helping junior instructors on their outdoor pathways, just like how I was fortunate to be helped by some really great people.

Main Qualifications I hold:
Mountain Leader (ML) Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor (MCI), and Winter Mountain Leader (wML)
